Tabla sensation Anuradha Pal releases new song ‘Dancing Rain’ featuring actress Raveena Tandon.

World-famous Tabla Sensation Anuradha Pal recently launched an exemplary song and music video Dancing Rain, on her YouTube channel. Dancing rain, features Raveena Tandon, 12 Indian and Jazz artists amd multi-layered with 18 percussion instruments from across the globe. Pal is one of the most talented and best-known female tabla artists in the world.  She is 1st woman Tabla Player and has won President's Award and is internationally acclaimed. 

Dancing Rain is a combination of sonorous vocals, lilting Indian, jazz and orchestral instrumentals, spiced with multi-layered, multi-dimensional percussion. Tabla Queen and composer Anuradha Pal has beautifully portrayed the drama and the nostalgia of dancing rains, much like the beauty and diversity of Incredible India, its spirituality, culture, dances, and music. Anuradha has played over 18 percussion instruments from Africa, Latin America, India, and the Far East in a multi-layered, multi-dimensional collaboration with 12 Indian and Jazz Musicians. The exquisite Video footage and superb sound design accentuates the immersive experience of journeying through India, with the rhythms of the Dancing Rain creating an unparalleled audio-visual experience. This video features Bollywood superstar Raveena Tandon and Anuradha Pal portraying the romance of the magical monsoons, dancers presenting Vande Mataram, leading musicians on Jazz Saxophone, Vocals, Bass Guitar, Sitar, Shehnai, Keyboards, Strings, Cajon, Bongo and Sarangi, combined with Anuradha’s fantastic multi-percussion and Musical arrangements.

Anuradha Pal has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana and appreciated as ‘Bharat ki Laxmi’ by Honourable PM Narendra Modi ji.

During the lockdown, Anuradha Pal and her team distributed Rs 10 lakh amongst 350 poor musicians and sent food rations and blankets to 250 disadvantaged, old and disabled women and children in villages across 17 states of India. Her husband Shyam Sharma and her donated wheelchairs, walkers, masks, and gloves to Covid facilities in Mumbai and regularly contribute to Animal welfare and Nation-building.

Through sheer grit and insurmountable talent, Anuradha stormed the male bastion of Indian rhythm as a 9-year-old child prodigy, establishing herself as amongst the World’s leading and most innovative, classical Tabla players and composers, ‘who is constantly re-inventing and pushing the dimensions with her experimentations’. Revered globally for her superb tonal quality, complimenting musicality and pinpoint rhythmic artistry, founded on decades of rigorous study, sadhana, and sacrifice, first-generation Tabla Star. Anuradha Pal is appreciated for her refreshing innovations and collaborations, with a vast repertoire of musical genres. An educator, multi-percussionist, composer, and inspirational icon of female empowerment, with trendsetting musical & social contributions, Anuradha Pal is acclaimed as ‘Multi-Percussionist Par excellence’, ‘Torchbearer Tabla Phenomenon’ and ‘Legend’ and is a ‘trailblazer’, with many firsts to her credit.  

A recipient of 108 awards and citations, Anuradha Pal was conferred with the ‘First Ladies award’ by the Honourable President of India in 2018 for being the first female and youngest Indian musician to have performed at two among the world’s biggest music festivals - Woodstock and WOMAD to an audience of 4 lakh and 1.5 lakh fans respectively. She has already performed in 5000 concerts in prestigious festivals in over 30 countries.
