Mumbai based musician and producer Kiss Nuka has just released her new track Dakini, featuring her younger brother Rakhis
Dakini, was inspired by an ancient god in Tibetan Buddhism which represents the "most important elements of the enlightened feminine", according to a statement put out by Kiss Nuka.
Anushka Manchanda aka Kiss Nuka’s new electronica track blends drum 'n' bass influences with guitars by Rakhis.
Speaking on the track, Kiss Nuka says, "My expression of 'Dakini' celebrates the power of femininity, the importance of inner engineering, the potential it has for heightened awareness and awakening. Embodying different characteristics of the dakinis from the Tibetan culture, I am hoping to tell a story that evokes the feminine energy of the "sky dancer" through movement and music”.Pitch bending the bass into a movement that flows and ebbs like the ocean does with the moon, I have combined my love for Drum and Bass with beautiful guitars by my younger brother Shikhar Yuvraj Manchanda aka Rākhis."
Sucuri, a capoeira teacher and pupil, is portrayed in the music video, and his forceful yet fluid moves complement Kiss Nuka's feminine alignment. Kiss Nuka and Sucuri use their bodies to emotionally express concepts like motion, peace, enlightenment, and connectedness.
Dakini is available on all streaming platforms.
