Artists Pavithra Chari (singer and songwriter) and Anindo Bose (keyboardist and sound engineer), the contemporary-classical duo from Delhi who form Shadow and Light, have created music that goes beyond the conventional.

Their originals feature a harmonious confluence of a variety of genres, including Hindustani classical, jazz, electronics, among others.

They recently released a new song Raahein, a song of light hearted nostalgia and the rush of memories we experience about a significant other. It’s a groovy take on a person who has left us with a lifetime of emotions, feelings and thoughts - both resolved and unresolved.

Raahein is a pop ballad written over a groovy 6/8 feel rhythm. The music arrangement is programmed and layered with synth sounds. It also features lush orchestral harmonies and vocal hooks. The folk inspired vocal lines in this dance-y track are sure to keep your spirits up.

Pavithra Chari is a disciple of Smt. Shubha Mudgal for khayal. She is a cross-genre vocalist/lyricist  and composer in Hindi, English and Tamil and debuted as a playback singer for composer D.Imman for the Tamil film 'Udanpirappe' 2021. Most recently she has sung for composer Yuvan Shankar Raja for the 2022 film 'Valimai'.

Anindo Bose has owned and operated Plug 'n' Play Studios for the last 17 years, and has been recording and producing artists for different projects. He's a keyboardist, arranger/composer and one of the founding members of acclaimed fusion outfit Advaita since 2004.
