It has been an uneven past two years for Uddipan while gathering courage and recollecting his life to release songs as a solo artist finally. He constantly felt consumed by the question "who am i? and what's my purpose", which led him to try and find answers through music.
The good news is that things started making sense to him while working on a new brand language with his sister Tanaya Sharma. The logo, color palette, aesthetics, story, and daily journal reflected the current state of mind, practice towards life, mindfulness, and existence. Jhoom Le is his rendition to celebrate life as it is, being in the now.
As self-explanatory as the name can be, Jhoom Le, the idea, got seeded from the 2020 lockdown. Uddipan was reading many stories of ordinary people and absorbing their wisdom over test of times. He found a lot of it in the older generation, who have lived life and managed to hurdle through the challenges, embrace all emotions and pave their way to being calm& survive. The song sings as an old being in first-person to cheer up a younger being, sad and lost due to the lockdown and the unprecedented times. It describes how living in the NOW is all that matters. Even in all adversities, we can still create happiness and be content with ourselves.
Uddipan is an Indian artist, performer, and music composer, originally from Assam, who is currently based in Goa. He expresses his life mindfully through the journey of music. He believes that the ability to move towards peace and harmony, lies in changing our pre-programmed perception of nature, individuality, or society and constantly questioning to self, "who am i?" answers to all our worries lie within us, in silence.
