Uddipan Sarmah from the band Aswekeepsearching has released three singles and today releases his latest offering Boliya.

Going solo isn't easy and Uddipan has accepted the challenge. With listeners and fans way lesser than his band, Aswekeepsearching, staying motivated, and being consistent even while being ignored by most publications and critics, is his current investment and determination. As a solo artist, Uddipan plan to release new music frequently and build a discography for a Live set in the near future.Boliya (adjective, mentally ill, insane), rooted in 2019, was influenced by the politically unrest times in India. Fast forward to 2022, and humankind never fails to surprise with their current global events.

Boliya is an Assamese word, which means being mentally ill. It is a narration to the people in power, control, or delusion of them both, expressing how we, the ordinary ones, have gone insane with turbulenceas a result of the human ego. From childhood until being ayouth, this journey has always been costumed to elders' beliefs, terms, conditions, and authority. Is it too much to ask for a calm, independentexistence with freedom to "just be"?

Uddipan is an Indian artist, performer, and music composer. Originally from Assam, he is currently based in Goa embracing this gift called life amidst nature. Uddipan expresses his life mindfully through his journey of music. He spends most of his time trying to focus on the now. To know himself better by going inward, questioning our existence, society, and its old-fashioned norms that we get consumed by. he strongly believes all the answers lie within us, but only in silence.
