26th September, 2022Sagar is a singer-songwriter, music composer and producer based out of Mumbai. His new single titled Alvida was released on the 25th of September.
Alvida has been written as a musical theatre. The song has been divided into 3 acts and takes you on a journey from the perspective of a person who is what one might call a 'loser'. Hence, the song is a suicide note lamenting about what all went wrong and the current situation that he finds himself in where he is unable to cry, manifest any emotion but to lash out at the world and celebrate the finality of his life in the choruses of the song.
The song draws influences from Jazz, Western Classical music and Hindi film music.
Sagar has been working as a music composer and his commercial projects range from creating music for ads for major brands to web shows and short films. He has collaborated on one of his songs Makhmal with the legendary Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali and recently he composed the background score for the story 'Bahrupia' in the Netflix Original anthology 'Ray'. His ad film portfolio consists of advertisements for major brands like Raymond, Vivo, Nexa, India Gate, Eureka Forbes etc, to name a few.
Apart from this, he keeps on working on and releasing his original music. He has composed, produced and arranged music in multiple genres from pop, jazz, electronic, orchestral and retro.
Itek Bhutani is a music producer, composer, mix and sound engineer from Mumbai with 2 self released albums ’22 random letters’ and ‘Hello Sin Nation. He has been working in the music industry for the past 15 years and has a vast portfolio of ads, shows and films under his belt. His song has been featured in the film ‘Jackpot’.
Piyush Kapoor on the other hand is the vocalist, lyricist and one of the composers of the Awadhi rock band Daira. He plays the trumpet and clarinet as well and recently has been part of ‘Merqaba’ which is an act that plays world music.
