‘Vibgyor Viva 6’ – One of India’s largest interschool and junior college festivals organised by Vibgyor Group of International Schools successfully concluded in Mumbai. The objective of this unique initiative was to encourage the arts, culture and sports component among school children beyond academics. 81 finalists aged between 10-17 years selected from amongst 3,000 students from 500 schools across nine cities clashed in a cut throat competition against each other to covet titles in three Premier categories - Viva Nova (Personality Contest), Swing n Swirl (Solo/Group Dance) and Voice of Viva (Solo Singing). Various popular and talented faces of the entertainment industry graced the event, making it as one of the prominent ‘Star-Studded Evening’ in Mumbai.

India’s young talent from Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vadodara, Lucknow, Kolhapur, Guwahati and Calicut, was judged by industry experts in music, personality and dance segments.

Through a lucky draw at the event, Bengaluru city is selected as the hosting city for ‘Vibgyor Viva 7’ in the year 2015.

The conclusion of this first-of-its-kind national interschool festival, which began in mid-November and celebrated for a period of 40 days, saw an entertaining and lively participation from various students.

Names of the Vibgyor Viva 6 - ‘National Champions 2014’ are –

Viva Nova – Personality Contest (Boys and Girls):

• Yuvika Purushottam from Bengaluru Blizzards,Mt. Carmel College was declared the champion of ‘Viva Nova’ (Personality Contest – Girls) and was felicitated by SonuWalia, Bollywood Actress, Winner of Miss India pageant and Model
• Tanay Bhatia from Mumbai Meteors, Podar International School was declared the champion of ‘Viva Nova’ (Personality Contest – Boys) and was felicitated by KeeyaKhanna, Bollywood Actress

Swing n Swirl (Solo/Group Dance):

• Winner of ‘Swing n Swirl’ (Solo Dance) KrishChauhan from Vadodara Volcanoes, Gujarat Public School was awarded by Ganesh Hegde, Indian Singer, Performer, Video director and Bollywood Choreographer
• Winner of ‘Swing n Swirl’ (Group Dance) Dev Dance Group from Lucknow Lancers, Dev Rhythm Academy was awarded by PradeepMehrotra, Managing director JDP Green Infra con PVT LTD

Voice of Viva (Solo Singing):

• Anand Shrivastava, Bollywood Music Director honored Joel Theckel from Bengaluru Blizzards, Legacy School Bangalore for Voice of Viva (Solo Singing) category

U16 National Basketball Tournament 2014 (Boys and Girls):

• The champion of Girls U16 Basketball Tournament Calicut Kalarees (Presentation School) was felicitated by Subhash Desai, Honorable Minister of Industries, Maharashtra
• The champion of Boys U16 Basketball Tournament Mumbai Meteors (Don Bosco School, Matunga) was felicitated by AnandShrivastava, Bollywood Music Director

Winners of ‘Viva Nova’, ‘Swing and Swirl Solo Dance’ and ‘Voice of Viva’ won a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 each and the Victors of ‘Swing and Swirl Group Dance’ and the ‘U16 Basketball Championship’ walked away with Rs. 50,000 of cash prize.

Talking about the occasion, Ms. KavitaSahay, Director of Schools and Academics, Vibgyor High and a Creator of Vibgyor Viva said, “I congratulate the winners and all school children from across the nation who participated in ‘Vibgyor Viva’. We at Vibgyor High realised the potential in today’s youth and created this event to provide an opportunity for children to showcase their talents in front of the world.”

Vibgyor High, through the ‘Vibgyor Viva’ initiative, has commenced an annual get-together for school children filled with youth and talent in various performing arts segments. It is focused at developing student’s all round personality by engaging them in activities which promotes a multi-facet for today's talented youth that helps in a social and holistic development of children.
