Recently, an interview video of Lana del Rey has been making rounds on YouTube wherein she is talking of her soundtrack song Big Eyes which has been nominated for a Golden Globe. The beautiful singer revealed that she drew inspiration from the story and imagery of the film to write Big Eyes and that she tries to stay true to her aesthetic when it comes to recording songs for films or other artists, and that is, making the songs sound either jazz or "cinematic". She always likes to have a kind of direction before writing.
Tim Burton heard the track and it just gave him “chills” and hence he was keen to feature the same in his movie. Lana has been nominated in the "Best Original Song" category for the 72nd Golden Globe Awards. Lana will face Lorde (Yellow Flicker Beat), John Legend (Glory) and Sia (Opportunity) and Patti Smtih (Mercy Is).
The forthcoming art biopic 'BIG EYES' by Tim Burton was destined to hit the big screen, with the writers having previously admitted to spending a long time on the story and the director himself being already affiliated with the incredible Margaret Keane story.
The film is ready to see its release in India on 9th January, 2014.
