From Monotonous mornings to Strings and Melodies: Neeraj.NRP's Humble Beginnings

Finding Melody in Mundanity:

Neeraj's journey embarked in the most unexpected way. Seeking an escape from the monotony of office life, he enrolled in a guitar class, with the simple wish to leave the office at 6. Little did he know, this decision would become the first chord in a symphony of melodies.

In the vibrant cityscape of Pune, where every nook has a story to tell, Neeraj.NRP's musical saga began with a simple desire—to break free from the clutches of a 9-to-6 routine.

Strumming Through the Unknown:

Armed with newfound enthusiasm, Neeraj discovered his sister's old guitar at home, becoming the canvas for his musical experimentation. Despite knowing little about chords, he found solace in creating tunes from the heart.

A Songwriter's Genesis:

In a serendipitous turn of events, after months of guitar classes, Neeraj felt a surge of creativity. He penned his first song, a composition that still awaits its release. The realization dawned - music was not just a hobby; it was a lifelong passion.

Educational Interlude:

Neeraj's journey took a formal turn when he sought to expand his musical horizons. A Google search led him to the doorstep of two renowned music schools in India – KM  Music Conservatory, Chennai and The True School of Music, Mumbai.

His journey into the world of music education started with a dilemma - KM Music Conservatory, Chennai, or The True School of Music, Mumbai? The decision led him on a thrilling adventure, chasing and missing trains and navigating floods but culminated in a successful audition at KM Music Conservatory and learning Western Classical music there.

Later his choice to pursue Western contemporary music at The True School of Music shaped his unique musical identity. It was here that he completed a 3-year diploma as an instrumental producer (Guitar).

Inspired by legends like, Kishor Kumar, Manna Dey, R.D.Burman, A.R.Rahman, Ajay-Atul, Bappi Lahiri, Himesh Reshammiya, Pritam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Cat Stevens, Jatin-Lalit, James Blunt, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber; a blend of western classical training and contemporary techniques fuels his artistic expression.

Musical Details Unveiled:

Let's take a closer look at Neeraj's musical landscape. He has written lyrics for Ankur Tiwari & Ashutosh Pathak for the Zee5 series "Rejct x 2 - Mad about you Maddy" and created songs for artists like Aaday Rao, Yohan Marshall, Shannon Donald, and Dharmadev Maniar.

His live performances have graced prestigious venues, including KM Music Conservatory, The True School of Music, Moojic Space, The Quarter, Hoot, Habitat, and Above the Habitat.

Fast forward to today, and Neeraj.NRP is ready to unveil his 7th creation, Fiza. This isn't just a song; it's the culmination of a journey that started with the simplicity of wanting to escape and evolved into a profound love for crafting melodies. For Fiza, he has collaborated with renowned producer Sid Paul with Vedant Thakur on guitar, Hardik Pandya on Keys, Divya Iyer & Anajana Padmanbhan on backing vocals and Bhaskar on mix and master duties. Fiza is It’s a soulful- romantic pop song which talks about simple things in life we enjoy we are in love. Targeted towards a new as well as old generation, Neeraj has managed to blend modern sounds with meaningful lyrics which is a big selling point of his writing.

"Dedicating an immersive 50 hours to the composition of this heartfelt song, the artist found solace in its creation, holding it as a personal piece that exudes tranquillity. The journey of production wasn't just a task but rather a delightful exploration. The experience of recording the backing vocals in the studio introduced a unique layer to the intricate tapestry of the song”.

In the introspective process of penning down the lyrics, he immersed himself in profound couple leisurely strolling along the beach, enveloped in the warm hues of the orange sunset. Their smiles and shared joy painted an enchanting portrait. The boy, feeling an unparalleled connection, considered this date exceptionally special. His keen observation along the path revealed intricate details, children playing, dogs leisurely walking with their owners, and an elderly couple hand in hand. As the sun gracefully set into the waves, he realized it encapsulated a snapshot of a perfect life, a realization that fulfilled the dreams he had long cherished.

The resulting song serves as a reflection of this idyllic moment, encapsulating the essence of that picturesque scene. Each note and lyric within the composition acts as a testament to the beauty and simplicity of life, capturing the essence of the couple's blissful journey along the beach during the enchanting sunset.
