Kolkata based Siddhant Goenka an indie artist released his latest offering Jaanley , a Pop/Soul song, born from the heart and creativity of its artist Siddhant Goenka. The chorus and bridge of Jaanley were the first parts to come to life, captured in a voice note back in November 2022.

The verse was finally added in December 2023, completing the song. Jaanley (Chaos or love)’ has a deep meaning, combining two powerful messages: “Jaan Leh," which means "I'm letting you know," and the other being “Jaan-ley” a declaration of passionate, unconditional love. It's about offering your life, heart and soul to someone who means everything to you, expressing a willingness to do anything for them.

The song plays with musical dynamics, starting in a major key and then shifting to a minor key to convey a sense of chaos and intense emotion. It reflects on a kind of love that's so strong and passionate it feels like an obsession. Going back to when he started, Siddhant's musical upbringing was shaped by the diverse influences of his parents. His father introduced him to ghazals, with Jagjit Singhji becoming a daily musical companion. Family drives echoed with the soulful tunes of Jagjit Singh's compositions. Meanwhile, his mother introduced him to classics like Hemant Kumar Ji's Jaane Woh Kaise'and Mohammad Rafiji's Likhe Ho Khat Tujhe.

The musical exploration expanded further, thanks to his elder brother, who introduced him to iconic bands such as Scorpions, The Eagles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Metallica. Live shows featuring Alka Yagnik Ji and Sonu Nigam Ji, where he would accompany his mother to hear these Legends, added a layer of dynamism to his musical journey.

In the 6th grade, Siddhant took a bold step onto the stage, performing K.K. Ji's Yaaro Dosti in front of his entire school. Emboldened by this experience, he later participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Little Champs, encountering Abhijeetji as a judge. His college years brought further recognition as he confidently sang the unplugged version of Gulabi Aankhen, earning him the lead singer position in the college band.

Up to now, he has released four tracks, Kacchi raahon pe, Jazbaat, Pari and Farishtey all of which are available on major platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

Collectively, his music has garnered over 1,000,000 views and streams across these platforms. Within just seven months, his fifth song, only goes to demonstrate his dedication and the rapid pace at which he works.

The unwavering support from his listeners has been a significant source of motivation for Siddhant, encouraging him to invest more effort into his music and writing. Since he began publishing his work in August 2023, Siddhant has quickly amassed over 20,000 YouTube subscribers and 40,000+ monthly listeners on Spotify.

Additionally, the songwriter, composer, and vocalist has got his music been featured in over 2,000 Spotify playlists, including an editorial playlist called Naya Indiestaan. One of his songs Farishtey also received airplay across 37 cities on 93.5 Red FM.
