Vh1 is all set to commence the International awards season by showcasing the star-studded 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards LIVE in India. This glamorous evening will be aired LIVE from Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on 12th January, 2015 at 6.30am. This will be the 4thyear of Vh1 consecutively airing the prestigious awards.
Previous winners, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host this year’s Golden Globe awards for the 3rd year in a row. This year’s Golden Globe Awards promise to be a stunning affair with stars tossing back cocktails, sincere moments of Hollywood appreciation and various other star-studded surprises.
Birdman leads the race this year with seven nominations, followed by Boyhood and The Imitation Game with five nominations each. In television series, Fargo leads the nominations by five, followed by True Detective with four. Superstars as well as the previous Golden Globe nominees Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr., Anna Faris, Ricky Gervais, Kevin Hart, Salma Hayek, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum, Lily Tomlin, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Catherine Zeta-Jones will be presenting the awards to this year’s Golden Globe winners.
Four time golden-globe award winner George Clooney will be honoured with 2015 Cecil B. DEMille Award for his outstanding contributions both in front and behind the camera. Clooney’s achievements as a filmmaker and a performer have earned him twelve nominations in nine categories.
