Singer – Songwriter Kareena Dholakia releases her first song ‘Forever’

18 year old singer - songwriter from Mumbai, Kareena Dholakia recently released her first single Forever in July. Kareena has been training in Hindustani Classical Music since the age of 5 and has also been singing Hindustani light music, Bollywood music and Western Music.

Forever, which is a western pop – ballad and catchy at the very first listen. This song holds a really special place in her heart as she has beautifully expressed her emotions through this debut single. As the song progresses, there comes a twist, revealing the core message of the song: “Stop waiting for the situation to change, ignite the change within yourself instead,” thereby emerging stronger. The poppish slow piece Forever has a wonderful blend of contemporary pop melodies as well as orchestration, perfect to listen to on late night drive or when you’re feeling alone. The song is produced by singer Yohan Marshall.

Like any other teenager, Kareena too went through a rough phase in her life, filled with turmoil, confusion and grief.

Kareena is immensely grateful to all who have worked on the song like her musician friends Shriya Rao and music teachers Shrea Suresh and Shannon Donald. She gives credit to Simoni Jain for doing her hair, make-up, styling and the photo shoot. Last but not least, she gives a shout out to Anamitra Dasgupta for editing the photos and the amazing album art which was designed by Kareena herself.
