Jaimin is a Calcutta-based singer-songwriter, who writes songs in the traditions of folk and rock music, without shying away from baring his soul in his lyrics. 

His latest work recorded live in January 2023,is in collaboration with the American ensemble The Bluegrass Journeymen during their stay in Shantiniketan. It blends Jaimin's distinctive melodic sensibility and relatable lyrics with fresh instrumentation, maintaining a familiar sound andstyle. Can't Get Away revolves around the themes of struggle and uncertainty,capturing a sense of being trapped by circumstances beyond one's control.

Jaimin is best known for his debut album 'Cutting Loose', which was the recipient of several nominations and accolades, such as the Clef Music Award in 2022, and was described in The Quint as "India's finest-ever album of original English songs".

Featuring a host of notable artists such as Rahul Ram (of Indian Ocean) and American slide guitarist Billy Cardine, his songs have received high praise from illustrious musicians like Pete Townshend (of English rock band, The Who), John Sebastian (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee), Rob Stoner and Scarlet Rivera, to name a few.

Earlier this year, he put out a duet No Vices.  About a missed connection, the song unfolds within the ambience of a bustling bar, capturing the social tension between two strangers yearning to connect. But as their paths intertwine, they realise the futility of trying to make acquaintances due to their vastly different preferences in beverages.
