The indie rock landscape of Delhi is witnessing the rise of an exciting new force in the form of Pankh, a six-member alternative rock band that has been capturing attention with its electrifying live performances.

Formed while still in their college days, the band has already made a name for itself by winning numerous battle-of-the-bands competitions, and now they’re ready to take the next big step with the release of their debut single, Dooriyan, under Gseven Records. Interestingly, the song Dooriyan was performed live before a crowd of around 10,000 people at a college fest last November. Noticing the amazing response they received, the band decided to record the song.

Released on 20^th September, Dooriyan is an emotionally charged track that delves into themes of separation, longing, and connection. With over 150,000 streams and counting, the single has quickly resonated with listeners across India and beyond, marking Pankh as one of the most promising new acts in the indie scene.

“The main challenge was pooling the resources to produce, record, and mix/master the song. We put in savings, prize money from competitions, and even organized a fundraiser with help from our seniors,” shared the band in a candid Instagram Q&A session.

Their perseverance has paid off, as Dooriyan is now receiving widespread acclaim. With Dooriyan leading the way, Pankh is ready to take their music to larger stages.
