Flute and Feet Academy completes 10 glorious years

Bangalore’s premier music and dance academy, Flute and Feet Academy completes ten glorious years of its fruitful existence, with several performances, accolades and awards bestowed on the dynamic and enterprising couple, Vivek V Krishna, renowned flutist and his wife Aranya Narain, renowned Bharata Natyam exponent and mentor. Over the years the duo has trained several music and dance aspirants whose performances have been acclaimed.

Music and dance are inseparable, music is an extension of dance and dance is an extension of music. It is indeed a blessing and a rarity to find a couple, whose devotion to music and dance is amazing. The academy is planning to organise an exclusive festival of music and dance in order to enhance the appeal of classical music and dance and also to encourage young talented performers.

Flute and Feet Academy began its pursuit of this divine art form in 2010 and later registered in the year 2014 according to the society act. FNF is reputed academy in Bangalore of its intense and steadfast propagation of Indian Culture. Academy imparts Bharata Natyam and Carnatic Flute classes in a good cultural and traditional manner following the world famous Kalakshetra style, Chennai, dedicated to render quality teaching and to propagate cultural development in the younger generation of the society. Students across varied geographies and age groups have been learning the art of Bharata Natyam and Carnatic Flute and taking it to the world.

Vivek V Krishna says “FNF assists the students in developing skills, encourages them to become independent and self reliant and prepares them to become promising artists and teachers in the field of music and dance. We believe an art education should foster creativity, independent thinking as well as provide a deep grounding in performing disciplines”.

Vivek has undergone training under eminent gurus like Vidwan H.S.Venugopal and Neyveli R . Santhagopalan. With more than two decades of professional experience, Vivek regularlry plays for several classical dancers and musicians of repute all around the globe. Incidentally Vivek will be shortly performing for Asian countries and the United States of America.

Aranya Narain is an accomplished Bharata Natyam exponent and teacher, having performed for several prestigious occasions all over India and abroad too. Her Grand uncle Prof M R Krishnamurthy is her mentor too. Prof M R Krishnamurthy was among the few male disciples of legendary Bharata Natyam danseuse Dr Rukmani Devi Arundale of the famed Kalakshetra academy in Chennai.
