Beat Boxing takes on a new turn

Aflatunes, a Beat Box and acappella band recently came up with their debut music video, a cover of the famous and treasured song “Sar Jo Tera Chakraye.” This young band has used no instruments but only their musical and vocal skills to come up with an excellent composition and have executed it with absolute ease.

This video will surely make you realize how some people do not need anything but just their talent to make a lasting impression.

So the question is, are Musicians capable of creating their own melody these days without the external help of musical instruments? Have we progressed on the lines of Music in India? Watching this video will make you believe that the answer is yes. One of the band members could construct the sound produced by Nadaswaram, which is the world's loudest non-brass acoustic instrument originated in Tamil Nadu.

It is a very fresh and extraordinary take on an old song that no one has forgotten to hum to till date. This is bizarre as the band has not only focused on the Beat boxing and acappella but also on the different genres in the same song.

Mr Anish Nair, Band member, Aflatunes explained, “We love Mohd. Rafi Sir and we always render a funny creative take on the songs we cover. We chose Sar Jo Tera Chakraye for the feel-good factor and switched genres to showcase the band’s Musical Versatility by working on a concept where-in we are a jukebox entertaining the folks in a corporate office.”

Talking about switching genres, the band has fused 4 genres in the same song from Retro to Pop to Carnatic Classical finally ending it with Dub step- New School, giving it a very tech feel.

“From the Videos Narration Perspective, we felt like we owed to the hardworking and under paid employees because lets face it, we have all been there. We wanted to create a song for the exhausted employees around the world, who work long hours and late nights for their bosses, even when they are hell-bent on giving us a headache. That’s when we had a thought, what better than Aflatune-ing a Cult Classic - Sar Jo Tera Chakraye,” said Mr. Abhishek Mazumder, Founder & CEO, The Think Tank Entertainment.

These young yet immensely talented people immediately struck a synergy with The Music Tank, a property of The Think Tank Entertainment, a Music Identity looking forward towards promoting young and fresh talent not focusing on any genre in particular.

“We love music and we believe in people, we do not believe in creating boundaries within music hence we are open to anyone and everyone who believes in Music as passionately as we do. We are new right now but we do have big plans for the future. Lets say, The Music Tank has just landed and is soon going to scatter into everyone’s hearts,” says Mr. Mazumder.

The Think Tank Entertainment has recently launched its newest vertical, The Music Tank and it wants to reach out to all age groups and all at once. This is their first step into the real world of Music and it’s already worth commending.
