Robbie Williams gets Into The Swing Of Things with new album

Former Take That member and UK Pop-star, Robbie Williams who has seen great success with his last album Take the Crown, is all geared up for a brand new chapter with his latest ‘swing’ album, Swing Both Ways .

Speaking on the new album, Robbie Williams said, “First of all I wanted to do a Swing album, because I wanted to do a Swing album. I always knew I’d do another and I think now is the perfect time to do it. It’s different – it’s not all covers, I had some songs that I wanted the world to hear and check out and maybe become part of the fabric of their lives, if I’m lucky enough, that I’ve had a hand in writing. So it’s very very similar to the last one, and very different – and hopefully I’m off to romance the world!”

Collaborating with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Olly Murs, Lily Allen, Michael Bublé and Rufus Wainwright, the album features duets by some of pop’s biggest sensations. Williams has once again come together with Guy Chambers. The man behind world’s most successful pop records, Chambers has written six songs along with producing the project. Earlier this year, “Go Gentle” the first single to be released from Swings Both Ways, was also the first song to bring back Robbie and Guy Chambers for their fans.

The new swing record features a  mix of classic covers including ‘Dream A Little Dream’ (with Lily Allen), ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ (with Olly Murs) and ‘Little Green Apples’ (with Kelly Clarkson) along with brand new tracks which include the Michael Bublé collaboration ‘Soda Pop’, ‘No One Likes A Fat Pop Star’ and the album’s title track, ‘Go Gentle’.

Robbie’s latest swing offering is a follow-up to his 2001’s ‘Swing When You’re Winning’, the first swing album which peaked at #3 on the ARIA Albums Charts.  Having been certified seven times platinum since its release, the first swing record remains William’s best-selling record to this day.

The album is available in physical as well as digital formats at all leading music stores.
