Singing Diva Asha Bhosle recently unveiled 101 ASHA BHOSLE HITS – a 3 DVD Collector’s Pack featuring Original Videos of her Popular and Rare solos before leaving for her USA tour. The DVD pack is released by Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. as a tribute to the living legend who will turn 82on 8^th September, 2015.

The specialty of 101 Asha Bhosle Hits is that each disc has a theme of its own. Disc 1 called “Dance Masti” features original videos of Asha Bhosle’s popular dance numbers right from “Piya Tu Ab To Aaja..”, “Jawani Jaaneman..” to “Ghungroo Toot Gaye..” & “Dooba Dooba Nahse Mein..”. Disc 2 titled “Romantic and Sentimental” feature her songs ranging from “Kaali Ghata Chhaye..” & “Dekhne Mein Bhola Hai..” to “O Saathi Re Tere Bina Bhi Kya Jeena..” & “Aur Iss Dil Mein..”. Asha Bhosle enjoyed glimpses of the Dvds and was thrilled to see some of her favourite rare numbers from “Charitraheen”, “Bandini” “Ankahee” etc which took her on a nostalgic trip. She was spellbound looking at the several faces for whom she sang, right from Nutan & Helen to Rekha & Sridevi. She appreciated the concept behind each disc that is designed to appeal to different age groups of her fans.

Asha Bhosle recounted her experiences about how even 10 year olds come and tell her that they like her songs, enjoying the fact that she is able to connect with the younger generations too. She was glad to see that old songs which were rich on lyrics, language, rhythm & compositions have stood the test of time and are still in demand. She complimented Shemaroo for keeping the legacy of Classic Bollywood music alive by releasing such interesting concept based products.
