The Red Bull Tour Bus is throwing a party for its second anniversary, with a line-up that’s bigger than ever. The second edition of Off The Roof on the 3rd of October, at Richardson & Cruddas, Byculla, will feature award-winning composer, singer and songwriter Amit Trivedi and bass monster Nucleya headlining. Kolkata-based alt/pop/rock band The Ganesh Talkies, Mumbai’s instrumental/progressive metal band Pangea and Delhi-based reggae and dancehall duo Delhi Sultanate & Begum X complete a line-up that’s diverse and appealing at once.
The lineup includes:
Amit Trivedi:
Currently among the most sought-after composers in Bollywood, Amit Trivedi made his debut as a film composer in 2008, and shot to fame a year later with his work on the film Dev D. A producer, composer, singer and songwriter, he has carved a niche for himself in the industry with his work since. Trivedi is also known for his spectacular stage presence and live shows, having featured extensively in Coke Studio, and played festivals around the country including Bacardi NH7 Weekender.
Nucleya:
Undeniably one of India’s most popular electronic musicians today, Nucleya has been a familiar name and face in the circuit for many years. Since the release of his massive EP Koocha Monster in 2013, Nucleya has been on a consistent upward trend, and he’s now gearing up to release his brand new album, Bass Rani, which features some spectacular collaborations.
The Ganesh Talkies:
Eclectic, edgy and hugely conducive to dancing, The Ganesh Talkies are among the most exciting alt/pop/rock bands around, with their kitschy Bollywood get-up and old Bollywood music influences, seamlessly merged into currently relevant music. Expect plenty of new music from their upcoming album.
Pangea:
One of the country’s favourite progressive metal bands, Pangea’s live sets are as precise as they are entertaining. The band is currently working on a new album, which promises to be huge.
Delhi Sultanate & Begum X:
A reggae and dancehall duo comprising MC Delhi Sultanate and musician and actor Samara C, aka Begum X, Delhi Sultanate & Begum X are widely known for their hard-hitting, socially relevant lyrics, alongside high energy music. Together, they have opened for the likes of Snoop Lion and Julian Marley at their respective shows in India and played at a number of festivals across the country and world.
