It’s not a film…For fans it’s a religion, while for filmmakers it’s an education.
This October the longest running film in Indian cinema added yet another feather to its cap. Aditya Chopra’s landmark debut film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, which redefined the meaning of romance for an entire generation completed 20 years of its release; making us all a tad nostalgic about our memories associated with it. While the film may have come out in 1995, and a lot has changed about Bollywood since then, the Jodi of Raj-Simran continues to rule hearts across age groups and symbolises everyone’s idea of a perfect romance. This chemistry was beautifully complemented by the movie’s melodious songs. DDLJ’s legendary soundtrack by Jatin-Lalit, along with lyrics by Anand Bakshi created such everlasting magic that today every song is a part of Bollywood’s musical history.
