The Sound Engineering & Music Production course offered at TMT is a Full Time/ Part time one year course that involves an in depth journey into every aspect of sound engineering including Studio Engineering, Cinema Sound, Sound Synthesis, Live Sound Engineering and Concert Production. TMT makes sure that each aspirant gets a 360 degree understanding of the process. It offers everything that a budding musician or an aspiring sound engineer would ever want. From fundamental principles of composition and production to recording, mixing, sound synthesis and audio processing, the course gives detailed insights into not just the technical aspects of it but into the music business, business practices and self-employment opportunities as well.

Ashish Manchanda, founder & director of The Media Tribe is a renowned mixing, recording engineer and music producer based in Mumbai, largely accredited for his work in Bollywood. Manchanda has been featured in legendary producer & engineer Bruce Swedien's book ‘Curious’. Manchanda was referred to as the ‘Future of Music is in Good Hands’ In the Studio with Michael Jackson and he is also the founder of the music production house, Flying Carpet Productions, which was established in 1999. 

Courses under the TMT banner are unique since the students learn under the close guidance of Ashish Manchanda who combines the values of both east and west. Moreover, the students or junior engineers gain significant hands-on experience with the training provided to them at various studios. Some of the major projects the students of TMT have worked on include MTV Unplugged, Coke Studio @ MTV, Chivas Studio and contributed to some outstanding Bollywood films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Dev D, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye to name a few. TMT becomes one of its kind through the real time hands on experience they provide to each student due to which they are capable of conducting a show or producing a music video right after the course. Adding to this, TMT, in association with The Flying Carpet Productions, conducts a live concert production exercise completely run and handled by the students of the Media Tribe twice a month. Musicians around the city perform here and the students get to engineer a whole event.

TMT strongly stands by the concept of giving back to the community and conducts CSR activities on a regular basis. Along with supporting Kabir Fest 2015, where they showcased music from different regions, they engage themselves with Prithvi Theater which is nothing less than a communal treasure to Mumbai and National Gallery of Modern Art. The students were a part of Children’s day celebration 2014 for cancer affected children.
