NM College’s annual festival begins on a festive note.

Commemorating the meaning of ‘Drishti’, i.e. ‘vision’, each and every one at Drishti strives to achieve the one goal of making it bigger and better. Currently in its 17th year, Drishti has achieved its goal of being the #1 management festival of Mumbai. Living up to its USP of never repeating a single event, Drishti introduces interactive events each year. We at Drishti, strive to reach new heights every year by climbing the ladder of success.

Drishti, being a perfect platform for students to showcase their talent in all fields, it has participants coming from colleges across the city. The events at Drishti are something everyone looks forward to. Bringing out the management maestro in young students are the management events at Drishti. These include the legacy event, Echelon; the flagship event, Drishti Business Personality; Business @ Campus, flagship event patented by the No.1 business school in the country- IIM Ahmedabad and many more. Our flagship events, the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) definitely brings out the Sherlock in you! Drishti does not only test your brains but also tests your physical abilities. It brings out the athlete in you with its unique sports. Dealing with the razzmatazz of Dance, Drama and Fashion Show, Drishti Cultural Day is one of its kind and brings out the best of the festival thereby portraying each one’s talent at the cultural front. 

Drishti is star struck every year with celebs coming in from various walks of life. Some of Drishti’s past celebrities have been: Anushka Sharma, the star cast of Khamoshiyan, Hey Bro, Sulemani Keeda and many more! The Drishti Conclave, being a panel discussion, also sees eminent personalities from various backgrounds where they come together on a platform to showcase their opinions. Every year, Drishti has eminent personalities forming a part of the panel like Anurag Kashyap. 

‘Enjoy the little things in life for one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things’. The pronite at Drishti perfectly describes this saying. A fun-filled night for all the music lovers where the contingents keep aside their competitive spirit and enjoy themselves thoroughly! Some of Drishti’s past artists have been Kailash Kher, DJ NYK, DJ Zenith, the Sunburn Campus and many more! 

Winston Churchill once said, ‘Responsibility is the price of greatness’. Considering social responsibility as one of its most important avenues, Team Drishti undertakes a social responsibility each year, to create awareness, help and support the needy. This year Drishti is proud to associate with the United Nations women’s “HeforShe” campaign to spread awareness for gender equality. 

Drishti 2016 is an innovation beyond imagination! This year the theme is something that will envisage our ‘Drishti’! Bringing before you is COSMOPOLIS, the theme of Drishti this year. It indicates an ideal city where all the cultures and religions of the world come together and live in harmony to make the world a better place! Having talked about the theme, the fest will be held on the 26th, 27th and 28th of January at its best. 

Just like last year, Drishti plans to achieve even higher levels of success, and as the name suggests, the “Vision” for this festival is to keep growing, surpass all that is expected from it, and evolve into the most unparalleled version of itself. 

Drishti, NM College’s had its Social Week from 4th to 8th January. This year the theme for the Social Week was gender equality, a much talked about social issue! Renaissance of Equality, the Social Week title, was graced by numerous celebrities.

With the Old Canteen area of the college decorated beautifully, the first day was inaugurated by our Principal Ms. Amee Vora. Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, a famous dancer, was present on the first day. He supported the cause and gave an inspirational speech on gender equality!

The second day was a blast with Sonnalli Seygall, popular for her movie ‘Pyaar ka Panchnama’, in the morning. In the evening the entire Drishti team was at Marine Lines for a mind blowing Flash Mob which conquered the entire locality, in not less than 6 minutes!

On the third day, two very influential celebrities, Rithvik Dhanjani and Evelyn Sharma, graced the event. Rithvik Dhanjani rocked the dance floor with two of the members from our dance crew. ‘Seams for Dreams’, which was pioneered by Evelyn Sharma was also promoted by Drishti with a stall that sold merchandise of ‘Seams of Dreams’.

With Saroj Khan, the famous choreographer, the fourth day was upbeat to a whole new level of awesomeness! She said that she will support them in all their endeavours! Also, the Creatives team of Drishti and Project M.A.D. created graffiti on gender equality near the Vile Parle Station!

Saving the best for the last, on the fifth day of Renaissance of Equality they had Pooja Ruparel in the house! Famous for her work in the movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’, she actively indulged in all stalls and walls put up.

To end the Social Week with a bang, they had gobo lights which beamed ‘Drishti’ in the Old Canteen area of NM College! It was a sight which took everyone down the memory lane of the enormous Social Week that they had this year!
