Popular reality show winner Nirdosh Sobti has released a new song “Bukkal” with Culture Machine’s Being Indian Music channel featuring Neha Rockstar and Sarang Sikander. The Sufi composition urges viewers to let go of prejudice and hatred towards Muslims and treat them as any other.

The video features a Muslim youth going about completing an innocuous chore which most would assume to be fixing a bomb due to his religious affiliation. Penned by Sumit Maini, the lyrics “Meribukkal de vichchor” imply that the real culprit in society is within you and that visuals are deceptive. The song is an attempt by Nirdosh, Neha and Sarang to spread the spirit of brotherhood in a time when everyone is quick to jump the gun based on people’s faith.
