Roposo ties up with upcoming musical film Zubaan as its Social Media Partner

Roposo, a fashion social network that helps style-conscious women search for and discover the best trends and inspirations, is the social media partner for Zubaan. The upcoming musical drama film has tremendous focus on style with its female lead, Sarah Jane Dias, playing the perfect fashionista. This makes the tie-up between the movie and Roposo an ideal blend of synergies.

Zubaan, to be released on 4th March, 2016, has been written and directed by Mozez Singh. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias, the music of the highly anticipated film has been composed by Ashutosh Phatak. The movie traces the coming of age story of a young boy (Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in the much-acclaimed movie Masaan) who loses his faith and develops a fear of music. He eventually fights that fear and finds himself again.

As a part of the association between Roposo and Zubaan, exclusive stills from the film are being pinned over Roposo during the promotional period. Roposo will also arrange for exciting meet and greet with the stars for its users, besides creating new and enthralling looks for Sarah on its platform. The two stars of the film have already created their profiles on the social network. They will entreat their fans to follow “Zubaan Fashion” on Roposo which will help users discover and adopt the best looks from the film.

Speaking on the tie-up, Roposo’s CEO Avinash Saxena said, “Zubaan features some of the most fashion-forward looks ever seen in Bollywood. We are proud to collaborate with the movie as the social media partner of choice in a truly symbiotic relationship. The idea is to bolster the perception of Zubaan as a film with a deep emphasis on style and personal fashion. While we will promote the upcoming movie across our consumer touch points, our brand will also get the necessary fillip through the credit rolls during the film premiere and the social media handles of its popular stars.”     

Zubaan producer Guneet Monga said, Sarah’s character (Amira), is a free-spirited, boho clad, wild child who finds solace in music - it’s her end, her beginning. Amira has donned some very unique looks in the film which is a crazy combination of boho meets desi meets hip hop. And hence, we couldn’t think of a better fashion app to be associated with than Roposo. Just like our female protagonist, Roposo is an app quite eclectic in its fashion sensibilities. It’s full of spunk and helps you discover yourself through fashion. And if that weren’t enough, the fact that it also happens to be India’s leading fashion social network only made it a much easier decision for us to associate with it for the movie.”

Female lead Sarah Jane Dias, an ardent user of the app, is excited about the association. She said, “The looks in the film are unique and urban-fusion inspired; this makes it very desirable for all those fashionistas out there on Roposo.”

The Zubaan star cast recently conducted a movie promotion at Symbiosis Punewhere Sarah and Vicky judged a fashion show. The couple also promoted the movie at IIM-Bangalore on 30th January 2016. All these initiatives are directed at firmly cementing the perception of Zubaan as a film focussed on fashion and style trends. The association with Roposo further cements this marketing endeavour.
