‘100 Pipers–Play for a Cause’ rocks Mumbai

After a successful series of musical concerts all over the country,Seagram’s 100 Pipers is back with another leg of a fantastic journey called “Seagram's 100 Pipers — Play for a Cause”.Aptly titled, ‘Seagram’s 100 Pipers-Play for a Cause’,is a musical extravaganza which brings together artists from across India to sing and play for a philanthropic initiative dedicated towards sponsoring meals for the underprivileged.

The 12- city music tour kick started in Guwahati in the beginning of this month. After performing at concerts in various cities, musicians Manisha Dogra, Apeksha Dandekar and Band Soul’d Out (Abhay Sharma, Bhanu Mendiratta, ChetanAwasthi, Sajal Sharma and AbhijitSood) gave an outstanding and spectacular performance at the Blue Frog, Mumbai On Saturday, April 02, 2016.The concert, which made a great start, had the stage flooded with a frenzy of lights and saw the crowd absorbing into the music and sang with the band.

Seagram’s 100 Pipers has partnered with the “Robin Hood Army (RHA)” to bring together music lovers who shared their enthusiasm and also dedicatedly raised aid to donate grocery boxes to the underprivileged. Robin Hood Army is a highly credible NGO which helps the underprivileged in the country. They boast of the largest and youngest volunteer force in 18 cities in India (completely based on crowdsourcing) and in the last 1 year, has fed 2.4 lakh underprivileged.

Speaking on the association, Kartik Mohindra, Business Head – International brands, Pernod Ricard India, said, “Music is a very strong medium to bring together people of all kinds and the power of music connects communities and inspires them. 100 Pipers ‘Play for a Cause’ is a highly popular activation platform, where more than 400 of the country’s top musicians have come together to promote various social causes and this time the cause is, “meals for the underprivileged”. Some of the best musicians of India are performing for this cause across a dozen cities and this deed of theirs will always ‘be remembered for good.”

Recently, 100 Pipers was also engaged in its first of its kind initiative called ‘100 Pipers-Nations for Peace’ to spread the message of world peace through music. The mega-concert was an extension of the ‘Seagram’s 100 Pipers Play for a cause’ philanthropic initiative and brought together seven popular bands from India and five other neighboring countries to perform at one platform.

The Seagram’s 100 Pipers - Play for a Cause’music tour will showcase spectacularand energetic performances by acclaimed rock bands such as Indian Ocean and artists like Ajay Prasanna, Abhay Sharma, Abhijit Sood and others.
