Saregama remembers Manna Dey

Saregama India, fondly remembers  Manna Dey, who was alsoaffectionately called Manna “Da”, the legendary singer and music composer on his 97th  Birth Anniversary.

Manna Dey’s musical journey spanned decades and has admirers from every generation, even today. As an ode to his illustrious career, Manna Dey  was honored  with  Padma Shri award in 1972, Padma Bhushan in 2005 and Dadasaheb Phalke award in 2007. 

Saregama has had the privilege of recording and archiving enormous works of Manna Da in Hindi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Assamese, Gujarati, Sindhi and Malayalam languages. Close to  2000  evergreen songs of Manna Dey across various languages has been skilfully digitized and are now are available only on www.saregama.com  in MP3 and uncompressed WAV formats for purchase and download..
