Delhi based Vasundhara Vidalur has been among very few female jazz vocalists synonymous with revival of RnB, Soul and Jazz into the clubs and bringing it back to the playlist of today's youth in India. Vasundhara has brought together ensembles with the top musicians from across India to form customized outfits for musical events.

She is also an active Voice Over artist with her narrations and vocals for Nestle, ITC Hotels, Indigo Airlines, Red FM. She was awarded the Best Female Vocalist award at the Jack Daniels Awards in 2014 for her work on her debut album 'Ampersand’ with her former band 'Adil & Vasundhara'.

The sound palette Vasundhara creates has been adopted by many top fashion designers. She has performed for and been styled by Ravi Bajaj, Ashish N Soni, Suneet Varma at their fashion shows and has also performed at the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week Finale 2013 and recently on Deepika Padukone’s fashion brand All About You.

She has performed at many premier venues in the country and in concerts and club shows in France, Turkey, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei etc.

Now, she’s back with power-packed collaborations with industry stalwarts for her new project ‘Merkaba’ – which stands for "Mer" (Light) "Ka" (Spirit) "Ba" (Body) and is set for premiere at an event in Mumbai.

Vasundhara V joins forces with guitar luminary Sanjay Divecha to form a power packed quintet that had chosen to challenge the stubborn definitions that lie within the music business. With a blazing rhythm section comprising of Gino Banks on Drums and Sheldon D'Silva on Bass, musical innovation that only a producer like Sanjay Divecha can bring to the table, Soul/RnB inflections brought in by Karan Joseph and vocals by Vasundhara V. Merkaba chooses to be the vehicle of ascension that its name implies it to be.

Lyrically, Vasundhra explores topics such as Prejudice, Sexism, Social injustice and lands on larger topics such as love, compassion, Self-healing and community healing. A paradigm shift in people's thinking will happen with the calling out of the things that don't work and then with an urging to negotiate a much more compassionate and synergistic worldview. Groove is paramount in this project and rendered with a fluidly moving harmonic langscape, Merkaba does open doors of communication, social rethinking and a re-drawing of cultural singer.
