His recently released film, 'Sarbjit' is a biographical drama starring AishwaryaRai Bachchan in the lead roles. Omung Kumar has directed the film that paints the picture of Sarabjit’s life, an Indian farmer who was convicted for terrorism and spying in Pakistan. It is narrated through the perspective of Sarajit' Singh's s sister, Dalbir Kaur. The character of Dalbir Kaur is played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film.

Sarabjit  has not only won accolades from the audience but also rave reviews from the critics. Both the actors have given a brilliant performance. Randeep Hooda lost 18 Kg of weight in 28 days to fit his character. Actor Amitabh Bachchan too expressed his admiration for Randeep Hooda after watching his performance in “Sarbjit”.
