SaReGaMaPa contestant now on jury board

“He Came, he saw, he conquered". This phrase completely fits the multi-talented singer Abhijit Ghoshal. Abhijit is the only singer in the history of SaReGaMaPa to have won 11 consecutive episodes. And to everyone's surprise he voluntarily opted out of the show. As destiny had planned Abhijit who was a contestant on the show had now become a part of a jury team in the latest edition of SaReGaMaPa along with the likes of Divya Kumar and Ash King.

Abhijit says, “Being invited as jury of SaReGaMaPa was a feeling of home coming. My musical sojourn started with show and continued on its own creative path, but criss-crossed with SaReGaMaPa when I anchored SaReGaMaPa Juniors on Zee Bangla.  Earlier I had also participated as West Bengal Captain in SaReGaMaPa 1000 episodes’ celebration.

Abhijit continues, “I could empathise with the participants when they faltered, when they sang well, when they cried with joy and when they sulked as well. SaReGaMaPa has always been the torch bearer of good quality music. Similarly, the guys this time also have amazing potential. If they keep they focus clear and feet firmly grounded, they can do very well in their musical life.”

With this Abhijit not only gets an opportunity to be associated with brand SaReGaMaPa but also gives him an opportunity to show case his huge body of work.

Known for his bandana look, Abhijit later got an opportunity to work with Shankar Ehsaan Loy in the musical blockbuster 'London Dreams' starring Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan. He sung "Jashn Hai Jeet Ka" which was hugely popular song in the film. He also assisted Louis Banks in Mile Sur Mera Tumhara 2 and sang in 4 languages in that song. He then went on to sing for a couple of more films.

Abhijit has also composed songs and jingles for brands like Nirma, Glucon D, Nycil, Amway, LG, Pro Kabaddi League, Karnival Cinemas etc. He teaches Bollywood singing in Shankar Mahadevan's academy. Abhijit is multilingual, he knows 14 languages and can sing in 11 of them.
