Raëll Padamsee’s Create Foundation’s 4th Create Trophy for Artistic Excellence, the talent competition amongst the NGOs, abled and differently abled children was held in the memory of Pearl Padamsee on Wednesday, 19th February, 2014 at the Rangaswar Hall, Y.B. Chavan Centre.
11 NGOs performed at the finals and showcased through dances, songs and skits what ‘Equality for All’ meant to them. Out of these 11 NGOs, 5 NGOs belonged to the abled category and the other 6 NGOs were from the differently abled category. All the children performed brilliantly and taught us so much that it left the audience speechless.
The Guest of Honour Chief Justice Mohit Shah of the Bombay High Court said that it was wonderful to see so many children perform on such a professional platform. Chief Guest Richard Bale from the Canadian Consulate said that there was so much talent.
Alyque Padamsee was also touched by the performances and said that his wife Pearl would be extremely happy to witness all this from her heavenly abode. Niraj Bajaj, Director of Bajaj group also applauded Raëll for the wonderful work. The Judges for the evening were Kunal Vijayakar, Aditi Amit Deshmukh and Payal Rohatgi. The children were overjoyed to see their favourite celebrities amongst them such as Javed Jaffery, Cyrus Broacha and Sangram Singh. Amongst the others present were Neera Sagi, Farid Currim, Shahrukh Irani and many more.
The winners from the abled category was NGO SNEHA (Society for Nutrition Education and Health Action) and the tied winners from the differently abled category were NGOs – CSED (Central Society for the Education of the Deaf) and SEC (Society for the Education of the Crippled)
