A sleepy grey morning in Mumbai turned into an action packed adventure day with over 6000 plus people attending The Mud Rush, braved water, mud and serious obstacles. Over 21 exigent obstacles including 30 foot hay stacks, barrier walls, stretches of tyres, a whole lot of mud, music by eminent artists, flea market and food to satiate your hunger, kept the crowds busy all day. The sundowner amidst the forest canopies of Filmcity alongside a brush with nature was the perfect respite to the urban madness for people who had traveled from various cities like Pune, Hyderabad and even Jaipur to attend the festival.
The Pro Run which was the new highlight of this year had many obstacles as the Mud Run but set in a longer circuit. It was not only designed to challenge participants physically by testing their stamina but also to dare them mentally by shedding all inhibitions and overcoming the various obstacles present. Pro Race confronted the undying spirit of adventure!
This year The Mud Rush has also introduced its new property called as ‘TMR NATION’, a concept which aimed at building a complete 360-degree festival experience where thousands of Mud Rushers got to experience ‘The MUDRUSH Bazaar’. TMR Bazaar was the coming together of a uniquely curated food and flea market platform. It had healthy food stations, LIVE food trucks, mock tail bars, etc. This year people got to enthralled themselves with some great food and shopping while ‘A Run’. The Run ended with a LIVE performance of best live bands from the city.
The winners and runner-ups received glorious rewards for their achievements. Other participants also got rewarded with goodie bags for their efforts. It was all a whole day of excitement, fun, and celebration with friends and family. People got to revive and rejuvenate in the midst of nature right within the city but away from the maddening crowd.
Ajay Prajapati, Managing Director, Sheer Management said “Organizing the fourth edition of the Mud Rush this year, we have been successful in our attempt to change the way Indians look at adventure sports. Our aim has always been to revolutionize the local scene so that you don’t need to wait for that overseas holiday to do exciting adventurous activities! Every year, we aim at introducing something new, keeping in mind the available venue & terrain. Filmcity has been an extraordinary experience…in the midst of the forest cover and great tasks! The results have been euphoric”
Jay Goradia, Marketing Director, The Mud Rush said, “The Mud Rush is a labour of love, commitment and offering unique experiences. This is the fourth edition and we already have plans for the fifth and fiftieth. Adventure, travel, food and music! Some of our favourite things together and the response has only been encouraging, growing and we do want to make this an international touristy calendar festival in times to come”.
This doesn’t end here… If you have missed the fun, The Mud Rush is continuing the next edition, scheduled to be held on January 14, 2017, head to Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City.
