Casio partners with Motherjane to promote musical talent in India

Music is an integral part of Casio business and the brand has always been associated with ace musicians worldwide to inspire and encourage youngsters. In line up with the same, Casio India has partnered with Kochi-based famous rock band ‘Motherjane’ to create a music culture among youth and nurture the budding music talent and promote music education in India.

The association will feature a number of national and international gigs with the band wherein audience will get to experience the most sought after musical instruments from Casio. Additionally, the collaboration will also focus on workshops with ‘Motherjane’ wherein the band members will impart expert technical music skills to the artists who are looking to strike big in the music industry. Casio has always encouraged music and with this tie-up, the brand offers an opportunity for music lovers to learn from the professional artists wherein they would share their musical experience.

Speaking on the association, Kulbhushan Seth, VP, Casio India said, “India has ever-growing music fanatics, specially the youth. With the growing music lovers, Casio India along with Motherjane band creates a platform to encourage and educate youth on music. We make sure that aspiring artists get to learn and perform music on Casio’s best-in-class musical instruments.”

Commenting on the partnership , Motherjane said, “We feel great pleasure and honor to be part of the Casio bandwagon, which is an iconic brand and has played an integral role in taking contemporary music to the next level. We are looking forward to work with aspiring musicians of the country and work towards creating some inspiring music.”

Motherjane is one of the first bands to start fusing rock with influences from the vast soundscapes of India. Established in 1996, the band has created an original sound for themselves and they have two studio albums under their belt. The first album 'Insane biography' released in 2002 is still regarded as one of the most influential records in Indian rock. Their second album dubbed as 'Maktub' in 2008 gave a clear niche to the band and made everyone sit up and take notice.
