Samir Rishu Mohanty’s A.K.A Big Deal is a Bangalorean rapper and was born in Puri to an Indian father and a Japanese mother. He was 16 when he discovered rhyming to express his anguish. Infact, a lot of his tracks are based on real life experiences. In the past, he has done collaborations with various artists such as June Neelu, Gnie, and Blaaze, and is famous for his energetic live shows and outstanding tracks (Microphone, Heroine, Like This). He is also one of the first Indian artists to collaborate with Beats by Dr.Dre.
The rapper has been a part of the Colgate Visible White song with Shraddha Sharma that gained mass digital conversations. He is back with the release of his new EP #OneKIdWithADream. The EP constituting 9 tracks and 3 inspiring music videos was released on the 20th of January on Big Deal’s official YouTube channel.
The 9 tracks feature a musical trajectory of intelligent club bangers, storytelling, bullying, racism, chasing dreams and heartbreaks that is sure to put the Indian Hip Hop scene on the map along with a deeper insight into the evils of the society.
