100 Pipers Vh1 Sound Nation, celebrate local music talent.

In its endeavour to give an international platform to Indian artists and giving the fans the best of English music, ‘100 Pipers Vh1 Sound Nation’ is now in your city. In a first of its kind music extravaganza celebrating homegrown talent across musical genres, Vh1, India’s authority on international music, along with 100 Pipers, has lined up some of the best Indian artists as part India’s most epic music festival.

Sound Nation aims to take the Indian music scene to the next level by showcasing Indian English musicians through the gigs planned over 10 days in six cities; then celebrating this talent through a first-of-its-kind multi-genre music awards thereby creating an space to take these top artists to an international platform

Some of the highlights of 100 Pipers Sound Nation

1) There is a recent rise of English language music artists in India. Indian music & entertainment industry is finding new ways to create differentiated properties in different spaces

2) There is a lot happening on the international music space and especially across genres like hiphop, rock, pop, EDM and jazz

3) 100 Pipers Vh1 Sound Nation as a property and a platform will encourage Vh1, which is known as a definitive platform for celebrating music talent and Indian artists who can get a platform to prove their talent across various cities

4) Vh1 has already brought international artists to India through their international format shows like ‘Rock Rules’, ‘Jazz Masters’, ‘Hip-Hop Hustle’ and ‘Handpicked’. However, for Sound Nation the plan is to encourage Indian musicians for original numbers

5) Sound Nation will showcase Indian English artists and will bring together the top cream of Indian talent through gigs and celebrate them through the awards

6) Partnership with Seagrams 100 Pipers

Indian English music space is exploding and the LIVE music space growing by nearly double. International producers are more keen now to work with Indian musicians. To cite an example from the recent, Vh1 has worked with Lost Stories on property called Contrabands which has made the band’s single to sky-rocket to #3 on the iTunes Top 100 Dance Albums and have also had international artist Afrojack specifically ask  the band to remix one of their songs.
