‘The Singles’ is probably Goldfrapp's best loved album, more for the fact that it has every possible hit song Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory who make up Goldfrapp have in their list of hit songs. Ooh La La, Number 1 are the instant favorites here followed by their best-loved dance singles Strict Machine and Utopia.

There’s also Happiness in true style mid tempo and ambient format, it surpasses the sound of Lovely head early in the album. Try also Utopia, a song that is somehow both sinister and almost unbearably beautiful. Don’t miss out on the operatic wail so electrifying it paralyses the listener.

Elsewhere, you have a fusion of Moroder disco, and snarling electronica in Strict Machine.
Yellow Halo and Melancholy Sky are two newly written songs and are perfect to set the album’s farewell. Both are songs, both gorgeous, gauzy servings of dream pop.

Alison Goldfrapp’s voice is a powerhouse and her range infinite while Will Gregory plays the good mixer in working on the songs.
