The Hilton name is enough to make Paris an instant celebrity overnight. The great granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton Hotels Empire, Paris has the touch of class when it comes to her lifestyle. But what about her album? Released on her own label Heiress Records, the album is a mix of pop and hip hop and has a line of producers on her debut.

In addition to the nine tracks and a cover of Rod Stewart’s Do Ya Think I’m Sexy, comes a neat collaboration with Fat Joe and Jadakiss in Fighting over me. A few standouts would be Stars Are Blind and her personal feelings dished out in Jealousy. There’s some dance floor burners as well in Turn it Up and I want You. She is not the greatest singer but she has a pleasant voice.

Her lyrics are not all that good to write home about, but then if Paris Hilton the celebrity comes with Paris Hilton an album, surely there are many who would like to tune in. Do so, but don’t expect much, rather keep watching her raunchy videos, where she excels, after all if she can’t really sing the least she can do is give a raunchy video.

As the hottest name in entertainment, Paris Hilton now adds singer-songwriter to model-actress-author – entrepreneur to her endless list of names. Paris manages to capture the sound of summer: a mix of pure pop, hip-hop and reggae, of bangin' beats, sexy lyrics and infectious melodies with a few radio styled tracks to the dance floor spinoffs, Paris Hilton is burning it up a bit to make us take a look, but nothing more than that.

If you like folks like Britney Spears and Lady Gaga and are looking for more because you just need more songs, give it a shot. People will judge this just because it is Paris Hilton, but take away that and you have a average album with catchy songs.
