Newcomer Winta Efrem comes from the land of the great Viking warriors, Norway, Oslo. Winta has been interested in music since she was younger. Winta's debut album was released in May 2004 and was titled ‘My Life’.
Her music is laden with R 'n' B and hip hop beats. Her voice is smooth as well as loud on a few tracks. New to the music world with her debut just about making waves, Winta has touches of Beyoncé, Shakira and Pussycat Dolls in her music and her touch of music is convincingly very catchy.
On her second album ‘First’, she makes it an album to remember. The song My number one is quite an exaggeration from the 20 year old that is probably waiting the day her music does make it to the big spot. Her song titles are quite bold if you go by one of them like Shake that thing which otherwise is quite a neat piece, very catchy, hummable but surely not worth shaking to. Trippin' has a very cheesy clubby sound, the track has just the attitude one can ask for.
With little hit material on her debut effort, Winta has a long way to go before she strikes out with a big hit, but the sample of her music out here is enough proof that she has produced an album that is worth playing.
An album worth checking out for the lovely music that she brings.
