Canadian soft-rocker Bryan Adams is all set to take over Mumbai once again on 13th December at the Nesco Grounds, Goregaon. Fans are sure to make it a must attend event.
Adams has been a household name for over three decades and with this his 11th album you can still expect the trademark Bryan Adams vocals, characteristic rock guitar and familiar song-writing style.
Both musically and lyrically the album is standard Adams fare, but this time not giving off many surprises. Well crafted ballads slide alongside up-tempo pop-rock based pieces everything you’d expect from a Bryan Adams record and more. Some with good catchy hooks, some without. Back with his songwriting team of Jim Vallance (responsible for his ‘80s hits) and Robert “Mutt” Lange (responsible for many of his ‘90s hits) he’s all out to capture the magic to create the sound that many love.
The lead single I Thought I’d Seen Everything has shades of a Bryan Adams classic in the making as it’s filled with a rocky edge with catchy lyrics too. Oxygen another punchy piece has good drum work, pulsating with loud vocals. Check out I Ain’t Losin’ the Fight, has a bluesy tang and is about the fight for love.Tonight We Have the Stars the opener on the album is distinctive Adams, and comes packaged with a great chorus and screechy guitars. The song speaks about living for the day and not waiting for a rainy day. She’s got a way is a song about observing someone, everything she does, making you stop and stare as she walks by.
The play list if you really look closely almost resembles song names that have been used by many well known artists. Thankfully none of the songs are covers. It's surprising that the Vancouver rocker with an all new 11 track album has made a remarkably satisfying album, but nothing compared to his early days of glory.
