Blue Oyster Cult delivered a killer classic hard rock concert. One of my favorites since last 20 years, Blue Oyster Cult (BOC) is known as 'thinking man's hard rock band' for their concept albums, lyrical depth and complex, superior musicianship...all blended in hard rock genre.
The hero of the show was the legendary lead guitarist Buck Dharma who just nailed it with his extensive, improvised guitar solos. The set highlights include Cities on Flame, Transmaniacon MC, Don't Fear the Reaper, ME262, In Thee, Black Blade, Before the Kiss a Redcap and of course, a 10 minute rendition of Then Came Last Days of May with extended guitar solos. Lead vocalist Eric Bloom was in fine form, aptly supported by rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Ritchie Castellano, bassist Danny Miranda and drummer Jules Radino.
An excellent concert with great set list, delivered in typical BOC style.
