Eagles Live in Concert - 2020 tour

I watched the most expensive concert of my life yesterday - Eagles on their Hotel California 2020 tour. It was the typical 'value for money' show where you get to hear all your classic rock FM radio hits plus some deep cuts.

Eagles played a lengthy concert of 32 songs including entire ‘Hotel California’ LP in set One, a greatest hits package in set Two and a 4-song encore in set Three. The vocals of Don Henley, Vince Gill and other members were impeccable with fine harmony vocals in most songs which is the signature of Eagles. But, the real heroes were twin lead guitarists Joe Walsh and Stuart Smith who provided real edge to the otherwise very tight, note-perfect, well-rehearsed sound of Eagles and intricate guitar harmonies. However, Glen Frey was missed as his son, Deacon, though doing a decent job, is not just at par with his dad. Also notable was increasing role of Vince Gill as vocalist while the bassist Timothy B Schmidt did lead vocals on only a couple of songs, not even on Tequila Sunrise.

Highlights of the concert were Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane, New Kid in Town, Take it Easy, Rocky Mountain High, Tequila Sunrise, Witchy Woman, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Lyin' Eyes, and many others. The sound balance of the Toyota Center and the visuals were superb.
