Mr. Bean, who has delighted audiences worldwide for over a quarter of a century, brings to the screen a sequel to the 1997 film ‘Bean - The Ultimate Disaster Movie’.
Mr. Bean enters a church raffle in London and wins an all paid vacation trip to France. He is also given a Sony camcorder to record his travels. After boarding a Eurostar train and arriving in Paris, the French language is a barrier in getting what he wants. Destined for a holiday at the French Riviera, Mr. Bean is transported to another part of France, but finally manages to get the right train only to fall into a bigger mess.
Just as he is about to board the train, he asks Emil, a Russian film director on his way to be a judge at the Cannes Film festival to use his camcorder to record his boarding the train. With retakes and more, Mr. Bean enters the train and the doors shut, leaving Emil at the station and Emil’s son seated in the train. Mr. Bean tries to cheer up the director's son Stepan and befriends him, but troubles brews when Mr. Bean loses his wallet and travel documents at a pay phone where he and Stepan attempt to contact Emil, who by that time has already filed a complaint of kidnapping with the police. Mr. Bean then ends up at a commercial film shoot with director Carson Clay (Willem Dafoe). He then gets a lift from Sabine (Emma de Caunes), an actress on her way to Cannes driving an Austin Mini (Mr. Bean's favorite car).
While the children would enjoy the silent antics of Mr. Bean who thrives on physical work, gestures, and movements instead of language, the only downer here is that they won’t be able to understand the Cannes Film Festival concept or be able to read English subtitles. The extras include deleted scenes and 2 trailers.
The soundtrack has songs like Love Machine (Girls Aloud), Bombastic (Shaggy) and Celebration (Kool and the Gang).
