Tupac's final recorded performance, 4th July, 1996 at the house of blues on the sunset strip is a celebration of his musical genius. This DVD is of 2pac's last recorded performance before suffering an untimely death, not to mention his only real fully recorded video concert on record. There is an accompanying album that was released for this as well. There are about 5 music videos of Pac's in the Bonus material – California Love, To Live and Die inLA, Hit ‘Em Up, How do you want it and I Ain’t Mad a Cha.
It's good to see Pac doing his music on stage, but he only performs about a 1/4 of the DVD as the rest of the DVD has artists like Snoop and Tha Dogg Pound. So its kinda looks like the main attraction is Snoop and Tha Dogg Pound, who rapped longer and had more tracks, but Tupac stole the show, you can see up close Pac yelling and cursing, inciting East-West-Coast war while perfeorming some of his best tracks.
Snoop plays his best stuff. This is an important concert, with songs like So Many Tears, Troublesome, How do you want it (Tupac), Murder was the case, Me in your world, Dogfather, and Gin and Juice (Snoop Dogg). You do not even have to be interested in rap for this concert to have meaning for you, you just join in.
I absolutely love this DVD. Tupac was an amazing artist, and I believe that the artist and genre should be respected (as should all art forms). This performance is amazingly energetic, high performance and fun. It really shows Tupac at his best: he's having fun doing what he loves.
The video and audio is excellent, especially considering that this was a Live Concert 15 years or so ago.
