Just a brilliant chill-out, ambient and laid back set, a must for fans of Enigma and chilled music in general. If you have the CD then the DVD will showcase the colours of Enigma with all its ethereal and sci fi set of songs.

Apparently In Italian, A Posteriori means anything from "what comes after" and is relating to or denoting reasoning or knowledge which proceeds from observations or experiences to the deduction of probable causes.

This music is from the 6th studio album from Enigma released in 2006. It has the familiar Enigma ethereal sonic textures, and grooves with lyrics also appearing on the screen, in English, Italian or Latin or both. For those who have heard the album can now feel the subject matter which is about the collision of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies and is stark and foreboding like you are on an endless journey of discovery through space.

There are the usual hypnotic tranced-out sounds and house beats with pulsating throbbing textures, that are both spiritual and carnal along with new age cuts. If you like the unique Enigma sound, you will like this. This is just amazing, heavy base, swirling music. This may be the best yet, but competes with two others in the album series. A real 'must' for all Enigma fans.......and for those who are not familiar with Enigma sounds.

A Posteriori is a truly mesmerising soul soothing dvd that oozes ambience particularly on the track The Alchemist. Almost trance sounding in places you will have it on repeat play for some while. If you enjoyed the difference of The Screen Behind the Mirror, then you'll love this one. Deep bassnotes along with a thumping backtrack,with ambient vocals, very relaxing indeed.

This album still has the same enigma feel but rather than the gregorian chants of "limited edition" it has a more futuristic sound/feel to it. I guess that's indicated in the name. A well produced album.  Enigma album and although somewhat quieter than the others it is still beautiful music with a haunting rhythm with some great atmospheric moods. Some truly stunning tracks and nice to listen to at the end of a long stressful day.

‘A Posteriori’ is perhaps the best album Enigma have done. In fact although you know it's Enigma, there's little sign of the obvious Enigma sound which is probably just as well as I simply couldn't take another moment of Return to Innocence.  

Don’t miss the exclusive 25 minutes with Michael Cretu the man behind Enigma who speaks about the very haunting songs. There’s also lyrics to songs like Dancing With Mephisto, Invisible Love, Sitting on the Moon and Goodbye Milky Way. There’s also a photo gallery and a Bonus song set. The black inlay card states that in 5 billion years, the Andromeda Galaxy will collide with our Milky Way and a new gigantic Cosmic World will be born.
