A Life On Stage – Michael Ball (Import)

‘A Life on Stage’ featuring Michael's has Ball’s most popular hits spanning his hugely acclaimed career.

This DVD features 25 of Michael's greatest live tracks, all personally introduced by Michael and 4 exclusive behind the scenes conversations shot throughout the year at Hampton Court Palace Festival – Concert Day, Michael as Stage Producer, his TV show The Michael Ball Show, his Radio 2 show Sunday Brunch.

Michael takes you to the movies with stunning renditions of silver screen smash hits such as The Hot Stuff, Winner Takes It All, Blues Brothers Medley in his Michael at the Movies and then put your hands together for unforgettable and show stopping performances from the West End to Broadway, including High Flying Adored (Evita), I Know Where I’ve Been (Hairspray) and many more in Michael on the Stage.

He then takes on some Party Anthems in full gusto as he belts out pop tunes from Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Bruce Springsteen and the odd Eurovision hit too. He ends the DVD collection with some of his Personal Favorites.

Ball is an engaging performer who introduces each segment of songs and goes on to perform a great selection of songs.

As this is his "Best of" DVD, so if you have in your collection Ball's concert DVDs "Live at the Albert Hall", "Live in London", "One Voice" and "Past and Present", this is then a collection of the best put together in one setlist as there are no new songs on it. But if you don't know Michael Ball yet or don't own his concert DVDs, this DVD is a great introduction to his work on and off stage. The song choices are great and cover a big spectrum of his work. From his slower and more up-tempo numbers, there are songs from musicals but also elder and contemporary pop songs. As a Bonus add on there are four "behind the scenes" interviews about the themes mentioned that are very interesting and entertaining to watch.
