The Beatles LOVE – All Together Now – A Documentary Film (Import)

After being asked by the remaining Beatles, Ringo and Paul, along with Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison, to make experimental mixes from their master tapes, Sir George Martin, The Beatles legendary producer, and his son Giles Martin worked hard with the entire archive of Beatles recordings to create an audio session of ‘LOVE’ which is also the title of the highly successful ‘Cirque du Soleil’ show, a co-production with Apple Corps featuring the music of the Beatles, that wowed audiences in Las Vegas. The audio album is a series of well-known Beatles songs augmented by additional instrumentation and vocals.

George Harrison's friendship with Cirque founder Guy Laliberté led them to an inspired idea to  bring together the 20th Century's most popular music with the world's greatest circus performers

The DVD contains "All Together Now", a 84 minute documentary film on the whole process with rehearsal and actual performance footage of "The Cirque" making magic with Beatle music, imagery, rare photos and of course the newly, remixed and re- blended Beatle historic music. The film shows the creation of the LOVE show, featuring Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Dhani Harrison, Sir George and Giles Martin, Guy Loliberte and show director Dominc Champagnew went through to create this masterpiece.

LOVE is the story of how the brain child of George Harrison among others became one of the great musical and dance shows of any generation. It is great to see Ringo, his wife, Paul, George's wife and Yoko, John's widow watch and love this show. I can say without a doubt that they all felt as if they were really seeing the Beatles reunited.

‘Cirque du Soleil’ performs choreographed routines that are mind blowing in every sense of the word. The show is not completely covered in this documentary but 84 minutes is enough to sensitise yourself as to how great this show was. The two surviving Beatles are interviewed as well as the family members of the Beatles members who have left us. Together they have brought to life the greatest rock and roll band that ever lived.

As Additional Features on the DVD you have three parts. "Changing The Music" (22 minutes) has a self proclaiming title which says it all. Twenty-two minutes of magic and being a "fly on the wall" in the studio with Giles Martin and his Pops, Sir George adding his input. Worth getting just for this.

Then, there is the process of making a 5.1 mix in “Music for the Theater” designed for such an event. This segment is only 9 minutes but being played over a proper 5.1 audio system.

"Making Love", another 10 minutes giving you an insight of how the show was designed. I predict that everyone that buys this DVD would’ve wanted to experience the show.

This DVD will take you back into an era that was so much more stable than it is in the present day. I love The Beatles and look forward to watching this over and over again and being transported into a time when things were a bit more simple and stable. Over-all making a show that should be seen by every Beatles fan.

The DVD carries 5.1 surround in DTS and Dolby Digital and is a treat for the Beatle fan.

Don’t miss the inlay booklet detailing the making of the documentary.
