This musical documentary chronicles the stratospheric rise to fame of The Beatles during the 1960s, when the whole world became infatuated with George Harrison, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and Ringo Starr.
This program features exclusive interviews, newsreels and footage press conferences and TV appearances featuring the four Liverpudlians, such as a backstage look at the filming of the British band's 1964 comedy, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, the Beatles' first trip to America. and their hysterical appearance on a British TV show performing Shakespeare, presented in color for the first time.
This celebration of Beatlemania presents a candid look at the Fab Four detailing their thoughts of fame, the screaming fans and the media's fascination with their hair. The Beatles are charming, honest and clever throughout this insightful documentary film.
There are loads of footage from the early years and some unseen footage also. So if you are one who has grown up listening to the music of the Beatles, this DVD is very entertaining right from beginning. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in starting or expanding their Beatles repertoire. Only true fans would love this, but the sound and vision vary, as it’s a bit and pieces kind of documentary, but that aside you won’t be disappointed.
