A sparkling romantic comedy, witha soundtrack of tunes of the 80s that you’d love to replay over and over again. Tracks like Culture Club’s Do you really want to hurt me, Hold Me Now – Thompson Twins, Billy Idol’s White Wedding, David Bowie’s China Girl to Musical Youth’s Pass the Duchie, all these favorites are simply irresistible. Besides these, there are lots more music played in the background and renditions that appeared in the movie, that give you that mushy feeling. This movie has withstood the test of time and the on screen chemistry between the Sandman and Drew are simply amazing.

Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) is singing the hits of the 1980s at suburban weddings. He is the life of the party and the one who can keep the party going in good spirits; he knows what to say and when to say it. Robbie meets Julia Sullivan (Drew Barrymore), a waitress who works at the reception hall where he sings. Robbie lives in his sister's basement and dreams of being a singer/songwriter one day, but his dreams don’t come true, as he is a simpleton with little or no contacts. This dream is now replaced by a burning desire to get married. His decides to marry his long time fiancée Linda. The date is fixed, but at the reception, he is rudely told that Linda has dumped him. Linda cannot fathom marrying a guy who sings at wedding receptions; compared to her earlier attraction she felt when he was lead singer in a rock band. On the other hand, his friend Julia with whom he has a soft crush is to get engaged to a wealthy Wall Street broker Glenn. Julia asks Robbie to help her plan her wedding and in doing so, learns that Julia has the wrong guy.

Robbie tells her this, but it’s too late. Julia and Glenn are on their way to get engaged. Does Robbie manage to woo her before she ties the knot? Watch what happens.
