Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak

This is one album which you just can not afford to miss.

Anand Milind are sons of former music composer Chitragupta and ruled the industry between 1985 to 1995. Anand-Milind styled their music mostly based on Indian melodies and folk tunes and were greatly influenced by the music of Laxmikant - Pyarelal and Illaiyaraaja. With all the big names of the Bollywood film industry in their twilight, Anand Milind came like a fresh breeze of air and provided very refreshing tunes.

QSQT has gained a cult status and is always in demand and why not when you have 6 extraordinarily beautiful songs in it. At such young age Anand Milind showed their class and maturity in composing songs which have an everlasting appeal. The song Papa Kehte Hai has all the youthfullness attached to it with some nice drumming and superb singing by Udit Narayan. Akele Hai To Kya Gham Hai and Ey Mere Humsafar are so hummable even today and have not aged a bit. This album has captured the innocence, aspirations, freshness and vivaciousness of the youth like no other and is a must have album in any collection. So don't miss it for the world.

Other albums by this duo that I would recommend are: Baaghi, Dil, Beta, Love, Bol Radha Bol, Platform, Vansh, Aaj Ka Goonda Raaj and Maha Sangram to just name few. Sadly, their talents were not given the due recognition they deserved and we must make amends by buying their albums and (re)discovering the magic that they created in the 80's and 90's.

Music by Anand Milind.

Released on Super Cassetes Label in 1988.
